Top Tip To Get Sign-Ups Via Email

When you’re sending out an announcement of an upcoming class, service, or product, resist the urge to send the details in an attachment. Put it right in the body of the email.

It’s the opposite of snail mail.  With snail mail, you’re psyched to get a beautiful, elaborate invitation, enchanted with lots of separate pieces that you get to pull out and pour over.

When it comes to email, it’s a different story.  We’re all too busy to want to open up Word, open the document, scroll through it, copy the info, paste to our calendar. We’d much rather just get the details in the email! Also, tons of people are getting their email through their iPhones, etc., and actually opening an attachment sometimes just isn’t possible. So, just put the details in the email. Even better, get people to sign up for the class and class reminders via email. When they are on your list, then you can email future offerings. Makes life easier for everyone, and more profitable for you.

Constant Contact, MailChimp, and many other email marketing and list management systems offer pretty and effective ways to get people to sign up for your email list and make it easy for you to send out announcements, ask questions, and give rewards to your best customers.

Nifty service that allows you up to 99 people on a free conference call.  Free for them (minus the phone charge, but of course they should be using Skype), free to you.  The call is recorded, you and others can download it, free RSS, free call reports.  This is the kind of service you can use to record a class and then sell the class through your website as an info product for residual income.
