Real Question: Do Websites Bring Clients?

Answer: Yes!
Websites are a great way to advertise your company, your services, and to sell your products.
A well-written and well-designed site, blog, or store pre-sells your customers and clients. Well-written pay-per-click (internet) ads screen viewers so that only those who are actually interested in your products and their prices will click and come through. This is a smart idea which saves you money, time, and resources.
Here are a few tips for setting up a great website:
- Depending on your goals with your site, you most likely need to do additional work in order to drive traffic (visitors) to your site. This work is SEO, buzz marketing, and advertising.
- Costs vary wildly, depending on complexity and functions within the site, the quality of graphics, and the number of pages, content, links, forms, etc.
- Words of wisdom: be very very clear about what you want your site to do for you. Websites and marketing are more of a process than a one-shot deal, but it helps tremendously to know what you want before you start. For example, do you want a small site that’s basically a business card? Or a brochure? Or a complex and interactive site?
- Look at your competitors and at (possibly unrelated) sites you just plain like. Try the Honey Bee Buzz questionnaire getting-started-with-honey-bee-buzz-internet-marketing for brainstorming and organizing. It’s great for clarifying your goals.
- There are lots of things you can do yourself and that will work beautifully as long as you use best practices. It helps to work with someone who knows what they are doing and stays current with industry requirements.
