American Woman’s Economic Development Corp
A nonprofit organization committed to training and counseling women from all socioeconomic backgrounds to establish and grow their own businesses. Programs are led by a volunteer faculty of entrepreneurs and business executives.

Provides useful information and links specifically focused on the woman business owner interested in doing business with the federal government. Information on the site is organized into five specific stages that a woman business owner should go through as she begins to explore whether the federal government is the right customer for her.

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

The nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations. It also is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC works to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners. WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs.

Springboard Enterprises
Produces programs that educate, showcase and support entrepreneurs as they seek equity capital and grow their companies. Target market is the growing ranks of women entrepreneurs who lead high-growth potential enterprises. SPRINGBOARD promotes women’s entrepreneurial development through alliances, partnerships and direct programming.

Office of Women’s Business Ownership
Promotes the growth of women-owned businesses through programs that address business training and technical assistance, and provide access to credit and capital, federal contracts, and international trade opportunities. Program include a women’s business ownership representative in every SBA district office, a nationwide network of mentoring roundtables, women’s business centers in nearly every state and territory, women-owned venture capital companies, and the Online Women’s Business Center.

National Women Business Owners Corporation
The NWBOC Network was established to provide critical information about corporate and government contracts and systems to women suppliers. NWBOC has streamlined the often cumbersome task of locating information and technical assistance about corporate, and federal, state and local government contracting through one-stop electronic access, offering women business owners a significant competitive advantage.

Count Me In – Micro Lending

Count Me In-Micro Lending champions the cause for women’s economic independence by providing access to business loans, consultation and education. The first online micro lender, Count Me In uses a unique women-friendly credit scoring system to make loans of $500 to $10,000 available to women across the United States who have nowhere to turn for that all-important first business loan. The organization provides access to networks that expand contacts, markets, skills and confidence.
